Who are the Spice Sisters? We are a family, some related – some not, of (mostly) serious foodies. We all love eating, whether we’re the ones working in the kitchen or not. Basically we’re crazy – yes, that way, too, but really crazy about foods; we’re fascinated by its flavors, aromas, textures and colors. We have this belief that food is not only a creative expression, but a soul-satisfying, heart-felt language. It can bring people and cultures together. It can bridge generations, and it can pass on our diverse heritage. In creating our seasonings, the recipes will come from anywhere and everywhere, but the ingredients come from as close to home as possible. We hope you’ll enjoy using them as much as we enjoy creating them!

In honoring our tradition of clean, local, fresh feasting, Spice Sisters makes a promise to keep our seasonings free of preservatives, chemicals and additives. No junk, just flavor.

If you’ve ever gone to a Farmer’s Market and bought a fragrant Fennel, or a shiny, dark Eggplant, taken it home and then wondered, “Now what do I do with it?” call Spice Sisters to the rescue. That’s why we’re here – we’ve all done that. It’s frustrating. Who wants to have to buy a a half dozen jars of spices just to make one recipe? Or have to run out to the store for the one thing you don’t have in your cupboard? Or worse yet, end up tossing out that Fennel because you never did figure out what to do with it. Never fear, Spice Sisters is here. Here, of course, meaning at the Farmers Markets, on our website and at select food locations.

As we grow we will be adding new seasonings every season for just that reason; to help and encourage eaters everywhere to think local, buy local, be (as in eat) local. We’re all better off when we do.

Here’s to good living, good times and great food!
